Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-04-22
Welcome to makepicsmall. By using this site you agree to the terms below. They are intentionally short. If you disagree with any part, please don't use the service.
The service
makepicsmall is a free, browser-based image compressor. All compression happens on your device. We do not charge for the tool and we do not require an account.
No warranty — use at your own risk
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce output suitable for any particular use. Always keep an original copy of important images; compression is a lossy process for JPG and WebP.
Your content
You keep all rights to any image you compress with the tool. Because images never leave your device, we never receive a copy and claim no rights. Do not use the tool to process images you do not own or have permission to use, or that contain illegal content. You are solely responsible for the content you process.
Acceptable use
- Don't try to break, reverse, or exploit the site beyond its normal UI.
- Don't use the site to violate any law or the rights of others.
- Don't attempt to overload, disrupt, or probe our infrastructure.
Changes to the service
We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service at any time without notice. We may also update these terms; the "last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, makepicsmall, its operators, and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost data, lost profits, or corrupted files — arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to US $0, reflecting the fact that the service is provided free of charge.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction.
